I have installed everything, but i am having the same problem as Tonci.. i can view the svg file from Futon, but there is none at drop down list on the actual site..

I am using windows, and Cygwin to push the app

Instructions:
git clone git://github.com/langalex/boom_amazing.git
cd boom_amazing
curl -X PUT http://localhost:5984/boom_amazing
couchapp push boom_amazing

What i am not sure is, how to do this in windows:
curl -X PUT http://localhost:5984/boom_amazing

curl is not a valid command for cygwin..
is that command necessary for the application to run properly?

Anyone knows?

Hi Alexander,

This sure sounds amazing! Could you please include an example? I've followed the instructions but there's no svg to be found in the dropdown, I added 2 in the attachment folder, before pushing with couchapp, like Jan suggested.

I can view the 2 svg files with Futon, the content type also seems ok, they're in the _attachments field, like expected. I'm using CouchDB 0.10, Firefox 3.5.5 on Ubuntu.

Could you help me out?

I instantly went: Boom, what an amazing idea ;-) I am still looking for an opportunity to deliver my first presentation with it, though. Today's presentation sadly was overshadowed with bad news that made me refrain from applying fancy visuals. Anyhow: Boom Amazing will surely power one of my next talks. Thanks for taking the time to innovate and share.

Looks like an interesting idea, but I was unable to get it to work. Have you tried from a fresh Git checkout on a fresh database?

Steps:

* Clone repo
* couchapp push
* Use Futon to create a document and upload Untitled.svg
* The svg now shows up in the menu at http://localhost:5984/boom_amazing/_design/boom_amazing/index.html, but the screen is black after I select the svg in the menu. (The image is viewable from Futon with no problem).
* Safari debugger says there's an error on app.js line 73: json['rows'] is an empty array.

Any ideas?

Hi Alex,

thanks for the great presentation and writing about how you made boom amazing. I have two observations: You don't need to create a database explicitly before using `couchapp push`. it'll create a db for you if it doesn't exist yet.

Second, as for how to get going, you could change the instructions to copying the .svg file to the _attachments folder before running `couchapp push`. That way the extra step of uploading the file in Futon can be saved.

Great work!

Cheers
Jan
