(2009) HouseTrip is a market place for short term rentals. Together with HouseTrip’s people one pair of upstream programmers built the site within 3 months.
People can rent (out) their rooms, apartments or houses to other users. The extensive profiles, reviews and comment walls allow you to get to know the place you are about to rent in advance. With the built-in auctions you might be able to snatch a bargain. The site also spots a complex property management system for hosts.

DoingText is an online tool that helps you to work on a text together with others. Instead of offering hundreds of features you don’t need it concentrates on one thing: communication. DoingText helps you to work on any kind of text together: Marketing concepts, articles for a magazine, project plans, group assignments, scientific papers, an invitation text… you name it!

(2009/2010) PaperC is a platform for reading books online. After reading a page of a book online for free you can buy it and add citations and comments, download it as PDF etc. We bootstrapped their website including PDF processing and download infrastructure, payment gateways and publisher backend within three weeks coaching their programmers in agile and test driven development at the same time.

It makes heavy use of twitter, a micro blogging/communication tool, i.e. you can enter events via twitter and also publish them there. The user interface of keiala is optimized for mobile devices like the iphone.

(2008) youthbank.de besteht aus zwei Teilen: den öffentlichen Seiten, die über die Hintergründe und Neuigkeiten rund um das Youth Bank Netzwerk informieren sowie einem internen Bereich. In diesem kann zum einen der öffentliche Bereich gepflegt werden, zum anderen stehen Werkzeuge zur Verwaltung der sogenannten Mikroprojekte und zur Kommunikation der Youth Banker bereit.

(since 2006) TransXpress is an exchange service for various electronic currencies like for example e-gold or pecunix. After signing up users can fund their account and start exchanging e-currencies in real time.

(2007) ForexMetal is the supporting web site for an online and real time e-currency trading system. Users can sign up to become traders and earn money through the integrated affiliate system. The site has been translated into 5 languages so far.
